Dr. Russell Huang

Russell Huang was born in Washington D.C. and grew up in his father's practice. He completed his undergraduate training at Brown University with a Bachelor's degree with Honors in Biology and Biotechnology. His love of technology started in high school when he founded a computer consulting company that helped small businesses as well as physicians' offices modernize their computer and network systems. He graduated from Northwestern Medical School in Chicago where he met his future wife. He completed an internal medicine internship at University of Chicago's Northshore University Health System in Evanston. As an Ophthalmology resident at Northwestern, he won the Ophthalmology Resident Teacher of the year award, served as Chief Resident during his final year of training, and did microbiology bench research on the microbiome of chalazia (styes).  Following residency, he completed a Glaucoma fellowship at Northwestern, and is a board-certified ophthalmologist by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) as well as the American Glaucoma Society (AGS). Dr. Huang is excited to bring his expertise and experience to the practice. His priority is to foster strong, long term relationships with his patients in order to provide the highest quality care.
